Performers Biographies

Matteo Tabbia
Matteo Tabbia was born in Torino in 1988 and began studying the cello when he was three years old at the Suzuki Talent Center in his city with A. Moscow. He graduated at the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Torino with the highest grades under the guidance of A. Moscow. Subsequently studied with M. Mosca, M. Brunello, R. Filippini, E. Bronzes, D. Grigoryan, N. Shakovskaja (Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Moscow), F. Szucs, F. Strange (Accademia Santa Cecilia in Roma), V. Melnikov and the Altenberg Trio. He is currently a student of Maestro G. Sollima at the Foundation "Romanini A." in Brescia. Winner of national and international competitions (Fondazione CRT, Vittorio Veneto, Kurashiki, Orpheum Foundation) has performed for prestigious music seasons around the world including: Settembre Musica in Torino, Festival of Portogruaro, Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin, Kassel Musikfestival, SpazioTeatro89 in Milano, Summer Musical Orta, Cidim "Nuove Carriere” in Palermo, Festival of Algiers, El Jem Music Festival, Istanbul Summer Festival, Festival of Maribor, Ljubljana Festival, Orpheum in Zurich, Palazzo Venezia and Quirinale in Roma, Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium in Cape Town, Bangkok Music Festival. As a solist, he performed with orchestras such as World Youth and World Youth Chamber Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Musicians, the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Slovenian State, collaborating with conductors as M. Brunello, D. Giuranna, I. Metin, E. Tabakov, M. Sanderling. He plays a cello “L.Storioni” (1780, Cremona) of the Maggini Foundation of Langenthal.

Michele Lancellotti
Michele Lancellotti was born in Brescia in 1980, studied at the Conservatory of his hometown under the guidance of Gianluigi Fia, Francesco Gorio and finally of Laura Mondiello that prepared him to graduating with honors from the Conservatory of Vicenza anus 2005. He attended masterclasses given by internationally renowned guitarists and masterclasses on the Renaissance practice held by the lutenist Massimo Leonardi. In 2005 he was invited to perform in a festival about the Spanish guitar conducted by Stefano Grondona. In 2006 he performed in duo in Paris at the Carouselle du Louvre at the event ‘Musicora’. Since 2006 he is professor at the Diocesan School of Music Santa Cecilia in Brescia and ‘I Piccoli Musici' in Bergamo. In 2008 he graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Brescia, where he is engaged as research fellow.
